Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority (TGA) will begin, from Dec. 1, the third phase to ensure that car rental facilities issue all contracts through Naql platform, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The unified e-contracts have several key privileges, as they represent documented contracts that fulfill all regulatory requirements. They also help maintain the rights of transacting parties and limit disputes, in addition to alleviating burdens from related parties.
Moreover, the unified e-contracts will enhance the quality of services and technical requirements in used rental cars, as well as raise the competition in the sector.
The car rental sector includes 630 offices under Category B, which will be obligated to implement the e-contracts, according to the authority.
The authority announced in July the application of the first phase of the decision. Meanwhile, the application of the second phase started in September 2021, according to Argaam's data.
