Saudi tourism sector offers huge opportunities: Al-Falih

Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said that the Kingdom's tourism sector offers huge opportunities, adding that it is expected to contribute between 10-15% to the gross domestic product (GDP).

 

Al-Falih's statements came during his speech at the Saudi-Greek Investment Forum in Riyadh, where two agreements were signed in the field of tourism development, in addition to the establishment of the Saudi-Greek Business Council.

 

Investment with the Greek side is less than expected, as the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to only around EUR 1.2 billion in 2021, the minister said.

 

Al-Falih also reiterated that Saudi Arabia is set to lead the renewable and green energy sector globally in the future.
