US Treasury yields rose during Wednesday’s trading, as investors await the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s Open Market Committee meeting, for clues about the path of monetary policy in the coming period.
The two-year bond yields – the most sensitive to changes in monetary policy – rose by 1.1 basis points to 4.308% at 04:58 PM Makkah time.
10-year yields also increased by 2.6 bps to 4.57%, and the 30-year yields were up by 3.2 bps to 4.792%.
Investors are closely watching the minutes of the last Federal Open Market Committee meeting, scheduled to be released later today, to determine the directions of monetary policymakers regarding the future of borrowing costs.
