Education must align with labor market needs: Minister

Saudi Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan said it is important to have an educational system that responds to the requirements of the labor market.

Speaking during a panel session at the Human Capability Initiative Conference, Al-Benyan indicated that the Saudi vision includes the education sector - particularly higher education - establishing new industries, which provide new job opportunities through research and development.

Saudi Arabia’s educational system focuses on four key pillars: the National Curriculum Center, teacher development, school ecosystem, and a robust assessment model.
