Saudi Arabia, Indonesia sign MoU for mining cooperation

The signing of the agreement


Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

The agreement aims to strengthen strategic cooperation and exchange expertise between the two countries in the mining and minerals sector.

 

According to a ministerial statement, the MoU seeks to enhance collaboration between the two parties in the mining sector, including the exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer in the fields of mining, mineral production and processing, exploration, geological surveying, and sustainable mining practices. It also covers modern mining technologies, mineral ore evaluation, and the development of cooperation in mining industries and mineral resources.

 

The signing of the MoU took place during Alkhorayef's official visit to Indonesia, with the aim of strengthening bilateral economic ties, attracting quality investments to the Kingdom, and exploring mutual investment opportunities in the mining sector and diverse industrial sectors, such as food, pharmaceuticals, and automotive.
