Alkhorayef Water secures 2 contracts worth SAR 354M with SIO

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co. (AWPT) was awarded today, April 17, two contracts by the Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) at a combined value of SAR 353.9 million, including value-added tax (VAT).

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the first contract covers the treated water reuse from Wadi Al-Dawasir Sewage Treatment Plant for a value of SAR 130 million (VAT inclusive).

Under the contract, Alkhorayef Water will undertake the construction of a treated water reuse system for the transmission and distribution of water supplies from the Wadi Al-Dawasir Sewage Treatment Plant (phase one) for the irrigation of agricultural areas over a 24-month period.

 

In a separate statement, the Tadawul-listed firm indicated that the second contract involves the treated water reuse from Al Rass Sewage Treatment Plant for a value of SAR 223.84 million (VAT inclusive).

 

Accordingly, Alkhorayef Water will carry on the construction of the treated water reuse system for the transmission and distribution of water supplies from Al Rass Sewage Treatment Plant (phase one) for the irrigation of agricultural areas over a 24-month period.

 

The financial impact of both projects is expected to materialize during the third quarter of 2025.

 

The company will announce any future developments in this regard at the time, especially after receiving the final version of the contract agreement signed by all concerned parties.
