Residential mortgages to individuals up 18% to SAR 6.3B in April

Residential mortgages provided by banks to individuals rose 18% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 6.3 billion in April, data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed.

 

The total number of residential mortgage contracts signed between banks and individuals reached approximately 8,200 in April 2025.

 

The average value of new residential mortgage loans rose 2% YoY to SAR 768,000 during the same period.

 

Mortgages for residential villas accounted for the largest share of total bank financing, amounting to SAR 3.93 billion or 62% of the total in April. Apartments followed with SAR 2.06 billion, while land plots came in third at SAR 304 million.
